Rita Miranda was born in Todi, where she lives and works. She began very young to combine the study of drawing and painting with scientific studies.
She later identified in raku ceramics, put together by self-taught, the most appropriate technique to summarize their creative needs with sensitivity and inspiration to the forms of nature. She deepened the ceramic techniques with the master Enzo Tilia and with the attendance of Nino Caruso, author of numerous essays on the subject.
Important meetings for her training were those with the artists Piero Dorazio, Bruno Ceccobelli – with whom she also collaborated – and Jacqueline Ryan. Among the solo shows we recall “980 ° C” at the Ab Ovo gallery in Todi in 2010, with a critical text by Luigi Meneghelli and among the collective ones we remember the participation in the Venice Biennale Italy-Umbria Pavilion, Palazzo Collicola, in 2011, Italian Creativity a Vilnius, Lithuania, 2011 and at the BACC Biennale Arte Ceramica Contemporanea at the Scuderie Aldobrandini, Frascati in 2012.
